moored at Fairview in Prince Rupert, BC This is a go-anywhere boat. It is comfortable as a live aboard and as a cruiser. It is designed to go off-shore, but I have not taken it out of BC's fjords and straits. It is easy to manage from the cozy pilothouse when it is wet and great to control from the stern helm when cruising under power or sailing.  It is a welded steel cutter with full length keel. Center cockpit design with 2 staterooms and accommodations for 7-8 persons. Comfortable headroom for 6'5". Bathroom with shower. A lot of storage throughout in drawers, lockers and under settees.  The large engine room has easy access to all sides of the engine and tanks/filters etc.  Several sails including a fully battened Rolly Tasker main sail, a 2018 Profurl headsail furler, and a new custom fit Carol Hasse headsail. 2018 and 2023 survey notes available upon request.

Built for a Philips corporation executive and owned by only 6 parties since new, she was completely re-built between 2002-2006 in the Netherlands, then sailed extensively offshore until 2014 under the same owner. From 2014-2022, she was based in Akaroa, Banks Peninsula, New Zealand and sailed to the Pacific Islands as well as around the local area. In 2022, the current owner brought her to Nelson and started a major overhaul. Launched at the London International Boat Show, the design turned heads even at the Royal Navy , who bought one as a pleasure craft for the admiralty. Their know-how shows in the perfect forming and welding of the plates without chines. Duende is super strong and has sailed among icebergs. Her 13 tonne displacement makes her a very stable boat. Inspections are welcome at the yard near Nelson. The re-launch is scheduled for December 2025. Payment terms: NZ$ 65,000 now to secure the boat, balance just before launch.
