Sailing Vessel “Offshore” is an aft-cockpit cutter-rigged bluewater cruiser that combines classic design with robust performance. Famously described by Bob Perry as having the “sweetest sheer I ever drew”, Tayana 52s were built from 1983 by Ta Yang in Taiwan and Offshore was built in 2000, as hull 70 of 72, and was sailed from the USA to Australia in 2011.  Recent adventures with the current owners include a Perth to Brisbane anticlockwise marathon and 6 months cruising around the beautiful tropical islands of Vanuatu and North Queensland.  Currently en route from Brisbane to Sydney.   Offshore is set up for short-handed stress-free sailing with an electric Lewmar 48 main halyard winch, two large Lewmar 66 winches for trimming head sails, single line reefing through to the cockpit, Side Power 95i bowthrusters for easing docking, a rock solid W-H hydraulic autopilot, reliable high speed Starlink internet, and generous 700L water and 650L diesel tank capacities.  An integrated keel (no bolts), skeg hung rudder, slab reefing with lazyjacks and a new massive 40kg Rocna Mk2 anchor further maximizes cruising safety and comfort.   Offshore combines a classic teak interior, a non-slip fiberglass deck exterior and varnished teak caprails to give owners the perfect balance of beauty and practicality.  Two aft cabins provide ample space for guests/crew with separate shower and head ensuites in the large forward master cabin ensuring owner privacy.  A gimballed Force10 oven with three gas burners on top, separate toploading fridge and freezers with digital temperature controls,  twin sinks with pressurized fresh and footpumped salt and fresh water, and lots of easily accessible secure storage makes cooking a breeze both at anchor and underway. The Bayfield 32C is a cutter rig version that was designed with a higher mast and larger sail area, featuring a clipper bow, bowsprit, wooden decorative bow trailboards, a keel mounted rudder, controlled by a wheel, and a fixed long keel. The deck was cored with 3/8 inch balsa, while some high load areas were cored with plywood. This Bayfield 32 C is a well maintained vessel, with an extensive inventory and numerous upgrades. An up to date survey was completed in April 2024, and is available upon request.

I purchased this boat brand new in 2000 from Koffler Boats in Oregon. It was my Guide boat for 26 years on the Colorado River at Lees Ferry, It has been meticiously maintained and shows that way. It looks new just about everywhere, even just a few years ago some clients still asked if this is a new boat. When not on the water its been fully garaged. Over the years Ive replaced about everything on this boat to keep it active. Whatever I replaced was upgraded. Also have a Windlass 45 lb Front Anchor with helm control. Koffler will not make this anymore, but you can replace any part of it should it fail.   Recently repowered this boat in April of 2023 with a brand new Kodiak Marine 5.3 L DI, V-8 Engine and a Brand new Kodiak 3 Stage Jet Drive all supplied by KEM Equipment out of Tualatin OR. I wanted the best engine there was, I didnt care what it cost, and I believe I got it. This boat now has incredible power, it jumps up on step and flies with solid propulsion. Its had 3 oil changes now and it runs perfectly with 133 engine hours. Just broken in and proven. All the red paint color, instrument console panel, and surface paint are all original from Koffler Boats in 2000.
