The Bristol 38.8 is an extraordinarily well-built cruising sailboat and is one of the best performing Bristol models. It is deal for extended cruising offshore or coastal cruising. NewWave has many options and updates including an excellent sail inventory, new electronics, new Seafrost refridgeration, teak wheel, louvred cabinet doors, well deisned canvas and chrome dorade vents. Much attention has been paid to make her especially quick and easy to sail. The engine has been very reliable. Even though she has been stored inside for most of her life, a cover and jack stands are included.
Project Boat: We were in the process of refitting this 1974 Bristol 40. We have removed a good bit of the interior. This is a blank canavass for anyone that wants to create an interior of their own. We did save all the wood drawer fronts, doors and door frames. Previous owner replaced all the rigging. We did sail this boat from Solomons to its current marina. It is on the hard in Colton's Point and available for viewing. Perkins is original and ran like a champ on the last voyage. Great opportunity to get a solid boat to make it your own. The boat is on the hard and available for viewing, mainly on weekends.
