The Gulf 32 was designed by William Garden and built by Capital Yachts to be an off shore capable, comfortable cruising sailboat with sailing performance that conceals her moderate to heavy displacement, solid fibreglass construction and near full keel. The pilot house makes for a safe and cozy place from which to operate the vessel in inclement weather while adding light and a sense of space below deck.   Wind Pilot is a safe and capable vessel that is ready for her next adventure as is. She has had many upgrades to her essential systems within the last 10 or so years. She has had a significant upgrade in her anchoring system with two anchors managed by a Lofrans windlass on a modified foredeck. All of the, hatches, port holes and lights including in the pilot house have been upgraded to off shore rated tempered glass ones. The fuel tank was replaced and a fuel management system installed. Wind Pilot was also totally repowered with a new Universal diesel, transmission, shaft and prop. She has all of the basic navigational equipment that one would expect as well as heat and hot water for crew comfort. Wind Pilot was rewired from bow to stern and has had fresh deck paint to keep her looking young. She has an AB RIB secured on oversized stern davits with a 6HP outboard to provide for comfort and convenience while exploring the shore or catching dinner.   What Wind Pilot lacks is those finishing touches which some owners may feel allows them to personalize her.  She currently has no headliner and requires the installation of some fit and finishing items. There are lots of spare parts and tools which could be included with the sale if the buyer desired.   Wind Pilot is from an era before the large weekender vessel and has served us well as we explored from Alaska to Seatle. We have sailed her as a B.C. registered (tax paid) boat for the last twenty three years and purchased her from the original American owners who used her in this same area for her first 10.
