This Swan 53 is in unique condition. She still has his first owner, since beginning professional maintained by a shore captain. The owner spend a lot of time and money to keep her in it's current condition. She is equipped with an hydraulic furling boom, Reckmann carbon furling, Hall Spars mast. This 3 cabin layout with 2 heads brings a lot of comfort to the owner and his guests.

GENERAL - CONSTRUCTION of HULL
The hull is of single skin construction using glassfibre reinforced isopolyester laminate with vinylester skincoat. Multiaxial or unidirectional fibres in selected areas.
Gelcoats are of weather-resistant NGA type, white with blue cove line stripe
Uncoloured gelcoat below waterline.Epoxy barrier coat layers sprayed on bottom, and finished with antifouling. Antifouling has been done yearly with International (last time March 2021)
The rudder is of foam filled GRP with tapered hi-tensile stainless steel stock, supported by two self-aligning bearings. The rudder have been changed in 2020. Weed deflector in front of rudder.
Rudder bearings (new in 2019) and quadrant
Sheaves provided with guards to prevent jamming of steering wire. Aluminium quadrant with end stops bolted to rudder stock.
Deck is of sandwich construction, using multiaxial glass fibre reinforced isopolyester laminate, with low-density closed cell foam core, and is bonded to the hull. High-density core or solid laminate under deck fittings. Unteaked deck surfaces will have a white gelcoat finish.
Retractable Sanguineti to be on the port side
Teak deck is original but in good condition.
HARKEN deck gear for head sail and main sail handling. Spinlock jammers have been used for all halyards and trimming lines.
Costum winch set up:
Harken 2-speed, self tailing, electrical, racing winches, instead of standard:
- Primary sheet winches, 2 x Harken 65.2 STR EH electrical
- Main sheet winches, 2 x Harken 55.2 STR EH electrical
- Halyard winches, 2 x Harken 55.2 STR EH electrical, with ratchet or free spinning bases, winch motors covered by GRP frame in overhead.
Pop-up mooring cleats and fair leads - Versari & Delmonte
The Swan 53 has a stainless steel Lewmar V4, 24V windlass with gypsy only for 10 mm Lewmar Grade 40 chain and one remote control in the bow locker.
The 4 cabin layout with mainly teak and European oak is used for visible interior. Instead of standard choose the owner teak floorboards. Alcantara upholstery was the choice to get a nice and cozy atmosphere.
All locker doors are fitted with high quality furnishing hinges and are kept closed with push button latches.
The owner’s cabin has a double berth on centerline. Two drawers under the berth. Hanging lockers on each side aft. There is a vanity desk on centerline, with a teak framed mirror on the bulkhead, above the desk. Book shelf on forward bulkhead.
Forward amidships cabin (Guest cabin) Double berth outboard and hanging locker forward. Upper lockers outboard.
The Swan 53 has two aft cabins with double berths aft. Hanging lockers with drawers on lower part located forward of the berths. Upper lockers outboard. Hull side is exposed outboard and will be covered with painted wooden battens.
Custom made starboard aft cabin, with single berth, pipe cot and hanging locker outboard, stowage lockers inboard, smaller galley.
L-shaped settee on port side, with a rectangular dining table and a center line settee. Lockers outboard on both sides. Navigation station on starboard side. A teak handrail will be installed in the overhead.
Lockers and bulkheads are teak. Counter tops are of Cameo Cameo White Corian.
Sink and faucets
One stainless steel sinks with one kitchen faucet of Oras Vega model.
