The Newport 30 was designed by marine engineer Gary Mull and manufactured by Capital Yachts in Harbor City, California as the Newport 30 Mark II or Phase II. One of the truly remarkable features of the Newport 30 is its construction. It pioneered the style of construction that revolutionized the industry and set the standard that would keep ownership costs down and provide a relatively inexpensive and trouble free ownership experience.
The Universal Atomic 4 engine was totally rebuilt 8 years ago and has clocked very few hours since then.
Below she is configured with a dinette to port which adjusts down to a double berth. To starboard is a single bench berth, or additional cabin seating.
