The coastal pilot features a semi displacement hull designed for modest top speeds in the 18-20 knot range and an efficient and sea kindly ride at lower cruising speeds. The design features a “CE - Category A” unlimited offshore rating, insuring this vessel has the sea keeping and strength capabilities to take on the most serious coastal cruises of up to a thousand miles. For example, a perfect vessel for North American cruising - from Alaska to Maine. Main deck accommodations provide for a large galley, dinette, and lounging with a lower helm station with double helm seat. This arrangement is very appealing for a coastal cruising couple as it eliminates the isolation and separation of a raised wheelhouse. When extended, overnight watches are not as often needed as is the case during coastal passages, this arrangement has particular appeal. During typical daytime cruising, without a rotating crew, the entire area is used and the person on watch can participate in food preparation, entertainment and conversation within this large and luxurious living area. This arrangement allows for quick, easy, side door deck access from the helm station, for short-handed mooring and offers all-round visibility rivaling most pilothouse configurations.
Following the unparalleled success of the Nordhavn 76 with its sophisticated systems and construction features, PAE’s design, engineering and manufacturing team was ready for a larger vessel and at 86 feet, this Nordhavn represents PAE’s firm entry into the megayacht market. With a 24-foot beam, she is more than impressive at first sight, however her full load displacement of over 400,000 pounds allows her to compare with many vessels well over 100 feet. Building on the experience of hundreds of thousands of ocean crossing miles and applying the “form follows function” rule, this ultimate offshore passagemaker has been designed in an aft wheelhouse configuration. For comfort and visibility at sea, this arrangement cannot be beat and with her long foredeck, tenders up to 20 feet can be accommodated. There is no question the Nordhavn 86 is a large yacht. The first impressions from the outside are of great mass and powerful lines, but it’s the interior volume that has to be experienced to be appreciated.

This midrange series has updated classic styling and all the essentials of Offshore design genetics that experience has shown to simply work. This is a boat for folks looking to go farther, and often, in safety and in comfort. Solid and stable form with a smooth and dry-riding hull, this is a yacht that makes adventuring a joy. Crew accommodation is introduced to the Offshore line in this model, and it is one of the nicest crew/utility areas in this size range.
As the flagship of our model line the Voyager is the culmination of our dedication to quality and innovation. William Crealock's design emphasizes unparalleled sea kindliness, structural strength, and safety. A multitude of unique and functional features distinguish the Voyagers from all other yachts in their class. The use of only the finest materials, hundreds of intricate details and unparalleled craftsmanship will be immediately apparent.
As with all Offshores, the 87/92 was born out of our maxim – “The softest ride on the water.” However, the more specific impetus for this newer series was the request of some clients for a yacht that expressed Offshore’s fundamental characteristics while offering somewhat more modern styling than the similarly sized Voyager. The 87/92 is a fusion design, still rooted in the classic yachting culture but with a refined contemporary edge.
