For sale is my 2014 Regal offered in the RX package. This 21' boat offers reliability, performance and quality in a well balanced package. At 218 hours, it looks and operates like it should.
The Fastrac hull really does live up to the hype. At slower speeds it displaces water to give you great wake for tubing, wakeboarding, etc. even without having ballast. At higher speeds it easily steps up on plane and according to Regal, provides 30% better fuel economy which will have you on the lake more and at the pump less. This boat has solely been operated in the fresh waters of Smith Mountain Lake. We usually cruise at 30 mph which is quite comfortable even in minor chop, but if you need it, this boat will run 50+ mph since we chose the largest engine offered when building it.
Inside you'll find a well appointed boat. It has grab handles, speakers, and cup holders in all the right places. It absolutely has an upscale feel. There is almost too much storage, and much of the space is configurable. For example, there is a large sun pad at the back for relaxing after a long day on the water. Alternatively, you can remove the center section and expose one of the best walk-thrus available. Not only does it look awesome, but it's truly functional. You can completely avoid stepping awkwardly on a cushion or on the deck rail. It has arena seating so there's always a great view and plenty of space to stretch out.
One of the best features of this boat is the Power Tower. When you're not pulling a water toy and ready to store, you can lower the tower at the push of a button. Regal promotes this feature for storage and when you're passing under lower bridges, but I find it's a great way to have your boat high out of the water without having clearance issues from above. We use it in our slip to keep the boat out of the sun and away from rain.
I'm the original owner and purchased this boat from Holly Acres Marina in Woodbridge, Va. It is not offered with a trailer, but Webster Marina a few miles from here has new loadrite double axle trailers with brakes for $3,500 if you need one. This boat is well equipped with all of the right features. All of these are manufacture upgrades from the base model installed at the time of build. Nothing below is aftermarket.
- Volvo Penta 300 HP
- Zero Off cruise control with ability to program custom user profiles
- Automatic built in fire extinguisher
- Bow and cockpit cover which covers entire boat
- Bow filler cushion
- Walk through bow doors which are excellent at cutting down cool air for early mornings or late nights
